My little family (large images)

#1 Post by Latios » Tue Jul 31, 2012 9:25 am

Just a newcomer around here, a ThinkPad fanatic abroad(somewhere). A little group of 4 which I use depending on how I feel each day, except for the Mini 10 which never goes alone. All in due time I shall have them all. I guess the term "Gotta catch 'em all" is applicable(hehe, maybe in a few decades  )

What is that laptop all the way on the right? Too small to be a X100 series.

It is actually a [rather crippled] X100e, labelled as "Mini 10"
I believe it was initially to sell but eventually made on special order only. The Australian government had these handed out to year 9 students in 2010 as part of their "Digital Education Revolution" program. Note the large bezel due to the 10.1" display instead of the normal X100e's 11.6" one, although they came as 1280x720 instead of 1024x600 as written in the specs. The model/config number and general specs are in my signature. The other cosmetic difference is the blue paint job on them.
Gets about 5-6 hours out of the 6 cell if you can tolerate the slow

Very nice familiy. 8) The "Mini 10" looks weird, but I´ve heard from the X100e with 10,1" display somewhere before. Thats really a special model.
