I just discovered that the 600E is pretty balanced! (Don't try this at home!)

I managed to stand a 14" T60 (one of the boxiest Thinkpads in history) vertically without it falling, but only with the lid closed.

That's the machine that is sitting behind it, although the Performance variant. Oddly, the 600E falls over if you try to balance it on either the front edge or the back edge while it is shut. I also managed to get my old Toshiba Portege 610CT to balance like this, but it makes any ThinkPad look like a Luigi Colani creation.

Also, this pun just occurred to me: It stands to reason that the ThinkPad 600E is a well-balanced machine!

That's so cool. Too bad I can't do it with any of mine since there's not enough surface area on the front
Although my X61 tablet can do it in tablet mode with the Ultrabase attached. But that's basically cheating

I managed to stand my 600E too!

I vaguely remember getting a 76x to do that once too. I had nowhere to brag about it back then, though.
