Hi all!
This evening, I suddenly felt like making something creative, so I decided to do a (My FIRST ever) vectorized version of my W500.
A Vector is in basics just a very detailed model made with fairly simple tools.
This image compares a vector graphics to an ordinary Bitmap.
So as you see, with vector you can make really detailed graphics. This here is my attempt on it.
As you may notice, I am not done at all yet. I still have to make the rest of the basic lines, then all the details, and then comes all the shading and special lighting. I will keep this thread updated every now and then when I feel like adding more to the graphics.
Original picture (Taken with Canon Powershot S95):

As you can see on the picture, I made it focus primarily on the closest (the right) hinge, speaker holes and W500 text. This makes it incredibly difficult getting the far part right, as you can see on this next picture, which shows my progress on the vector so far!
As mentioned earlier, I am not done with this at all, and I already have some quite specific things, like the left (far) hinge and some other stuff, that I'm not pleased with yet.

Thanks for your interest
Regards, Frederik.
