New CPU installation (photo link)

With tons of thanks to Tuus, I got to install my new T7700 today.

Plugged it in, new thermal paste and a new thermal pad and it's golden. My first CPU upgrade.

yeah...believe it or not that was not placed there for affect. The whisky and pipes live on that edge of the table.

Nice work setup. I love the lamp you have on the back edge. I assume it has a swing arm.

Regarding the tobacco and booze. These are required tools. Let no one tell you otherwise.

The table is an old 1930's oak drafting table I bought 15 years ago. The lamp is a 1960ish swing arm drafting lamp I picked up at an abandoned American Express office shortly after 9/11. (its a long story).

nice one ... and intels graphics if im not mistaken ...
i allways take pics when im doing something, especialy with cars and laptops
by the way... try to take him apart ( base not lcd) and clean dirt from the base... they getting very dirty inside ... personally i washed with mpc/apc and detailing brush and just showered of ..
P.s Whisky for removing old thermal grease or just for braveness ?
