Here is my new thinkpad 600X. Originally abandoned the idea of getting one, but when I saw this one I could not resist

.

Very nice looking! Seems to be missing most of the port covers, though. But, since I find the covers cumbersome when you need to use a port, I would almost rather they not be there.
Absolutely right about the keyboard and solid build quality of the 600 series. BTW, I finally got my 600e back together and working again. Now I just need to find some use for the thing.

Great photos.
I've finally gotten a 600X a few months back but I've yet to have time to get it running correctly.
Its keyboard is stellar, yes. Although I didn't seem to have a proper OS setup as of yet.
The port covers are interesting, I forget if the T2x models had some sort of thing as well.

Thanks! Yes, most of the port covers are missing. They seem to be very common with the 600 since the covers are connected to the base using a thin rubbery material. Port covers on older models like the 770 have real plastic tabs at the bottom that don't rip or break as easily.

Nice looking 600X.
I always like the styling of those machines. Something about the blackness + industrial design draws me to it.
Now if I could have a machine that looked just like that with the guts of my T410 or a T420, I would be in heaven.

My thoughts as well! 13.3 inch screen with SXGA+ and i7 would be awesome. After using this screen size, I have come to like it more than 14.1.
