My first T420

#1 Post by oeuvre » Tue May 23, 2017 11:42 am

Finished my Lenovo ThinkPad T420 project, scooped it up on eBay and added a few nice upgrades like mSATA SSD + SATA SSD + 2nd bay SATA caddy w/ 320GB data HD, USB 3.0 expresscard. It just needs a new battery.

my 420 is also similar to this... i havent bothered with the ultrabay hdd or replacing the gobi 2000 or whatver is in the msata slot as i find 8Gb 120Gb ssd to be fine... i think mine has the intel 6300 in it

nice enough unit but my 420s does everything my 420 does but lighter

i believe the new port layout in the 420 kind of sucks too compared to the 420s and even the 410

Nice modifications! What kind of USB 3.0 expresscard are you using?
