Hello!

I wanted to share a photo of my 9 ThinkPads I've fixed/modded over the last year I joined the forums :D

Those are rather unusual mods like the R500 in a T60 chassis, though IIRC there was another forum member who did a similar Frankenpad.
May I ask how the 14.1 SXGA+ panels fare? The only T60 14.1" SXGA+ screen I ever encountered had horrible viewing angles-- so bad that I had to continuously adjust the angle of the screen just so I can read from top to bottom. :x
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons

Yeah, I took inspiration from el-sahef over on the German forum here they used an R60 chassis for the R500 board instead and did a whole lot of moving components and re-soldering. I didn't know how to do that so I used a file and pliers to cut away at the roll cage making things fit. I call mine a jankypad because I had to weaken the left side of the rollcage where the hinge is, I used some black cloth tape so the hinge doesn't break out of the plastic when opening the lid. I also managed to short something and the LED indicators no longer work.

So far every 14.1" SXGA panel I've come across hasn't been too bad apart from that one time I tried disassembling a T61 display housing by using a pen-knife and accidentally cracked the screen while prying away the plastic bezel.

It's a modified Windows 11 install from phoenixliteos.com called "Windows 11 Ultra Lite Team OS edition" it's snappy and works well on T61s but a bit slower on T60s.
