I like the keyboard, it's very nice and matching the thinkpad style, where did you get it and how much does it cost?

I think it was about NZ$150 or so. Got it from fellow who runs an online shop in Wellingon:
http://www.aquilatech.co.nz (same place I bought the X40 from).

Simple web search revealed the "31P9490" aka "Lenovo ThinkPlus USB Travel Keyboard with UltraNav." Good luck finding the exact model homie has shown in his pictures. Web store prices ranged from $80-$150.
Here's a link on the American site.

OP, are there any differences between this external Thinkplus keyboard and the Thinkpad built-in keyboards? How's the button presses? Are they light like the Thinkpads or heavy like regular desktop keyboards. i hope they are light. thanks a lot.

The external keyboard you see in the photo is an actual Thinkpad keyboard in all aspects of feel, key travel and comfort. Highly, highly recommended. It is slightly larger than an X40 keyboard, so it's probably more like a T series. Maybe others can confirm.

When i first saw your desktop setup I thought that you had taken a thinkpad that had a bad screen, removed the screen and just used it as a keyboard/computer, and just had the video going out of the vga out. I think this would be a cool idea.

Hehe - a cool idea, yes, but
well beyond my level of expertise or competence.

I am actually thinking of getting one of the those for one of my workstation setups; I already have, quite excellent, IBM Model M keyboards as well.

there's another model that includes a numkey pad. i just oredered one. i can't believe people still use regular mouse and keep moving their hands back and forth between keyboard and mouse. when i receive this keyboard, i will plug a regular mouse to it, since it has two USB ports, and use the external mouse only when i'm gonna do extensive mousing, if at all...god i love ibm and all their bright ideas in this Think brand...
