Sony VAIO?

#3 Post by BigWarpGuy » Wed Aug 24, 2005 12:59 pm

It looks like it might be a Sony Vaio(?). It looks similar to the white one on the left.

Yup, two Sony Vaios.

Out of all of them, the ibm's are the best.

What model Sony's? I have been tempted by the TR5A (think that is the newest model?) but I have had bad luck with a lot of Sony equipment unfortunately...plus once I got an X40 in my hands it just spoiled me :) Impressive lineup for sure!

#6 Post by BigWarpGuy » Thu Aug 25, 2005 12:40 pm

The lower left one that is silvery looks kinda like my Gateway notebook computer. Is it a Gateway? :?:

If it is, that might explain why it doesn't appear to be working....just kidding :) :) :)

My 710CS boots perfectly with 98SE....now if I can just find an old (cheap) wireless card I'd be set.

I don't know if I can help you or not, as my 701c came with the Windows 95 Pre-loaded and I haven't attempted a fresh install; if you need any help with settings, config files, or anything else...just send a PM. 8)

You got 98SE on your 701c? That sounds Nice...How does it run and how fast is it? :)

Yeah, 98SE runs quite well actually on the 701CS. If I could find the wireless card pretty cheap, I would use it for short trips.

You can find 3COM "Office Connect" X-Jack WiFi cards on eBay for as little as $10.
