So far I love it (I've only had it for a few weeks though). It seems to be put together quite well - stitching seems good, and it seems like nice heavy duty nylon.

I have a Targus case that I've been using since 1992 and it was first used to hold the ThinkPad 700C (!). 14 years and 10 notebooks later, the case is all beat up, but I still use it daily to hold my R52.

That being said I got a Pelican 1520 case surplus pretty cheap! It's not unusual for my laptop to be in the back of a semi. I also have a targus air bag. The A series barely fits, but it has saved me. I keep a bunch of audio cables and a small mixer in the "printer" side.

Well, I finally got a true laptop case for my T42p.

This is a Targus Koskin Standard 15" Notebook Case (KOS301), and I got it thanks to a SlickDeal from CompUSA (they are $9.99 after a $15 mail-in rebate through Saturday the 11th). While it might not fit too well if you have just the standard 6-cell battery, I have the extended 9-cell which protrudes enough to snugly fit in widthwise. Of course, the side partition is velcro adjustable so you can tighten it up as desired. The power brick fits in that space nicely, and I also have several pockets on the inside and outside to work with.

Overall this is an excellent case for the money, it looks professional and is slim enough to be comfortable on your shoulder for extended periods of time.

The powersleeve seems to be of excellent quality. I've had mine for about a year and there is no visible wear (and I cram it full of stuff).

I have the Mobile Edge on the front of the picture (Charcoal/Black) awesome backpack!!!

This is a true life saver (in this case back saver). Sometimes I carry TWO laptops in this bag, plus tools and a cd-case (about 20 cd's) and the bag feels like it is full of bricks! Sometimes I carry TWO identical bags with THREE laptops altogether, so I can truly appreciate the back support

I also have a ThinkPad branded port/targus case that I purchased back in the day of my first T20, the SWEET thing about it, is the fact that it has a DEFCON alarm built into the FRONT of the leather carry case and it includes a "car style" remote for the configuration of the alarm as well as turning it on/off. A truly one of a kind bag, I will post pictures of it asap!

I also have the slip case from lenovo.com (made by Targus), I've had it for a short time but it is really sweet as well. I am waiting on a second one for a member of the forum, it has shipped and his should be arriving this week! It is made for a 15" TP, with the T4X 14.1" there is some "dead-air" but with the 9 cell battery installed it fits like a glove, and the whole thing fits like a globe inside the mobile edge backpack! here is the pic of the slip case:

I feel spoiled by the PORT Inc. case that came with my 560 and haven't yet come across anything for my T40 that's given me the same vibe. I still wanted a slipcase to use in my messenger bag though, so...

I use a 'gutted' cloth zip up 3 ring binder from Walmart. The T30 fits perfect in it, with the power supply sitting just in front of it. Got room for a pen, the wifi card, a pad of paper and some business cards. Works great, and I can travel light. I love it!

Some day when I am ambitious, I will get some pics.

I tried this and it works well but I wished I had a handle of some sort to carry the thing with.

It is a very nifty arrangement though.

I had considered finding a nice nylon handle to sew on the end, but I actually decided in the end, that it might take away from the convenience of the case. I like to carry it just like a book... that way I dont have to trust a strap to keep from dropping it.

My T40 came with a leather Targus bag (a Toshiba-branded one, funnily enough), but I use my good ol' Caribee backpack when I take it to uni. But I'm looking out for a sleeve.

ETA: Found the stm site (http://www.stmbags.com.au) - some excellent options available, so it seems!

Great piece. I love Tumi products and opted for the nylon notebook case which also comes with a matching rollon. This is a heavy travelling bag so the nylon strength, price and perfect fit for the 14.1 sold me.

Bought this case from MicroCenter back in January of last year. BaseXX brand, bought from MicroCenter for $30. It's made of pleather as you may be able to tell in the photo but nonetheless, when it doesn't have a cameraflash hitting it, it actually looks like real leather, or enough so that most of my friends, teachers and classmates got fooled. This case, although this isn't an advertised feature, seems to be pretty water resistant. It's protected several ThinkPads in several storms.

Pictured to the left of the case is the tool I never leave home without, my Hewlett Packard 48SX. I paid $5 for it at a school fundraiser sale and ever since, my Ti83+ has recieved little use. After learning RPN, normal algebraic calculators just don't feel right.

That looks nice! I found a Power Sleeve 15 on an online store that also sells stm sleeves and it's over half the retail price ($60AU including shipping). Plus it has the pockets for power supply, etc.

Found myself a cheap ($7AU reduced from about $30) but reasonably good quality bag at a local office supplies store - it has a solid looking foam slipcase that fits my T40 nicely and would probably still fit if I had a 9 cell. Plus the bag itself has plenty of room for the adaptor and other books and stuff I need to take to uni. It's no Booq nor stm, but it doesn't take a big chunk from my bank account.

And the "Targushiba" just went up on eBay...all it'd be doing is sitting in my wardrobe gathering dust.

Thanks to your post I too bought this slip case for my 14.1in TP 9 cell. I purchased it through Lenovo on Tuesday, and it came Wednesday afternoon! The think I like most about the slip case is the padding.. It's not too thick so I can carry it in my backpack, and it has enough protection to where I can just take it around with the shoulder strap. In the pictures you can see the finger indents in the case.

Does anyone have any experiences regarding the Targus/Lenovo slipcase with a T60 15" (9 cell battery)?

I really want to buy that slipcase for use inside my backpack but I'm concerned about whether or not my 15" T60 9cell will fit.

I use a Lowepro computrekker.

Its a very sturdy backpack. Mainly designet for carrying photography equipment and a laptop around.
It has hard shell sides which prevent the backpack from being "squeezed". It has a slim chamber for the laptop, where it sits very tight, not being able to move around.
Then theres the main room for photo-equipment. I pull out the inner walls and use it for misc. stuff for daily use. When I take off for a photo shoot, I put them back in and use it for my cam etc.

It has alot of space, and really protects the gear.

Its an all-weather design, so its generally water resistant. However, should one really come into bad weather, it has a waterproff sheet thats hinged and hidden away in a pocket in the bottom of the bag, that can be pulled out and tightened around it. Shielding it from the rain etc.
Its awesome

Also, it has a speciel system for mounting a tri-pod. Very useful, as I use my bike to get around for photo-locations. Love it.

Also, it has a life-warranty. If it breaks, send it back and get a new one.

I would like to write this post because I spent a long time looking for a really good and nice looking bag for my new T60.

The thing is that I wanted it to look good, be able to fit some papers, accessories and other stuff yet be small enough to carry around everyday. The most important thing was also some kind of "defense system" for my notebook - so protection was a must.

The problem was that it's hard to find notebook cases in a store - not many to choose from + the higher prices.
Meanwhile on the internet if I already found a bag I liked the description or photos were small and didn't show much except for the front, so I decided to make it more easy at least for people interested in this leather attaché' to make up their mind.

As you can see the picture is really small and for a 130$ investment you might want to look from more close-up.
While I'm on the price it's worth mentioning that a paid 75$ + s&h (total < 90$) for a new one on eBay - 130$ is still worth it.

My opinion:
The bag is great; as you can see on the photos it is made out of really nice leather that not only looks good, but also feels (even smells) like god quality leather. The finish is very precise and will satisfy every person who just like me pays a lot of attention to details.

It can hold a 14,1" laptop like the T60 or a 15" one if you remove the protective hmmm... lets call them cushions from the side.
The "premium leather" notebook case can also handle anything you might need as a student or businessman - 2 large books (or a huge pile of files), some notebooks (I mean the paper ones

), power adapter, mouse, a small stack of CD's a calculator, cell phone, cards and really anything you might need during the day. The really good part is that besides the weight the bag doesn't change much, it still looks nice and elegant - not like a stuffed bag that’s about to explode. The arm strap (detachable) is very comfortable but like with any other thing if you take a bunch of stuff carrying it around for the whole day will be tiring.

The interior keeps up with the incredibly good looking outside. The dark suede interior really makes the attaché' look and feel luxurious.
It's definitely worth every penny and I decided that for something that you use all day it's worth the price.
