T60p upgrades finally complete!

#1 Post by xaveon » Thu Aug 24, 2006 6:20 pm

So finally my T60p is complete! With 260GB HD space and 4GB of RAM. I received the Hitachi 5k160 SATA drive yesterday and installed it into the UntraBay Slim. Got the RAM today, and everything seems to be working perfectly. Got the Advance Dock to power my 3x LCDs. Hopefully this laptop will last me another 5 years. Thanks to everyone on the forum for providing loads of information during my research.

Very nice, but please trim that image down to XGA (1024X768) in consideration of most of the Forum members.

Im thinking of doing something similar with my T43, since I now have an X60s as a mobile machine. I can get 20" Viewsonic LCDs for under $300 each on Newegg, might plug them into my mini dock and use the T43 as a desktop until im ready to build a new desktop.
X60s 1704-69U (Core Duo 1.66LV, 1.5GB, 100GB 5400, 12.1" XGA, WWAN, 8 Cell, DVDRW in X6)
External Storage: 250GB + 500GB Porshce

T40 Project: (Planned) P-M 2GHz, 2GB, 100GB, DVDRW

This I do indeed like. :D

Three, centerally oriented LCDs and two Thinkpads? Impressive. I do like the keyboard and keypad and how they go with the other styling of the workspace. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Wow, xaveon, you have the most powerful T60p in the whole world! I would prefer having one single 30" LCD, but that would cost a lot more money!
