Just wanted to share my desktop setup incorporating the gold standard T40, BlackBerry 7290 and ThinkPlus Portable 80GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive (40Y8726).

That's a nice setup. Simplistic, with the Thinkpad being the focus point.
Does your workpace always look so neat? I'm asking because if that were me, about 5 minutes after taking the picture there would be papers and books all over the place.

How about the ThinkPlus drive, does it have a Travelstar inside? I have one of the old PCMCIA IBM 12Gb drives, and I think it has a Travelstar.

You pulled off that placement of that laptop on that table with some mad skillz.

I love simplicity also, so that's something like by desk will look when I finally get a bigger place.
Very nice and estetic. GJ

RE:

The portable HD. Is that a USB drive? Where can I get one? Or more specifically the enclosure.

You can buy one from www.fifthunit.com (search for FENJA). I got one and it works great with a 5400 RPM drive I bought on the forum marketplace.

Unfortunately their site is down at the moment. I'll check back with them later. Thanks for the link though.

I was surfing through the forum when I came across my own thread. Totally forgot it was here, and the picture is slightly out of date as I have upgraded to a T43 :D

Too bad about the Windows Live OneCare though.
