I typically use my laptop at two notches above the minimum brightness setting. At nights, I reduce it to min. brighness when my roommate goes to sleep. My eyes start watering after 5-10 mins at higher brightness levels, and this is one reason why I hate insanely bright glossy screens. Color is vibrant and all that arguement is fine, but what use is a display if you cant look at it for more than 20 mins?
I noticed that the screen looks fantastic in my normal usage settings, but I can see that the entire screen is lit under max. setting (obviously). I don't think I have any light leakage problems, but can some thinkpad monitor experts have a look at these pics and confirm this?
