My Thinkpad family pics

Please ignore any finger prints...I had a 4 year old trying to help me...

Also, my T30 couldn't make the photo appointment today, but he should be here later this week...will add more then...

I should also add, that these are only the "working" Thinkpads. I have tons of parts and pieces, laying around, plus working non-thinkpads. The least working Thinkpad in the pics is the A21m, because it is missing an LCD and has an eeprom error, which I will eventually get around to fixing...I just ran out of AC Adapters.

Steve,

You have a wonderful Thinkpad family and I'm glad that I had a small part in the makeup of who's who in the picture.

I hope to contribute some more in the future.(only kidding of course, Steve)

Ron

PS. I hope you're saving up for college for these children. :D

Funny that you say that...the R40 and X20 at the bottom of the pic both came from you. I think that there might have been more, but not sure...I lost track

Awesome collection. Is that a 701C i see in the 2nd row? I wish I had one of those - someone with lots of 701C please donate one to me! (Bill, are you listening? :D - just kidding)

Well, it is a 701CS, second best to the 701C. I love the fact that I can whip this out pretty easily to show friends...because, I absolutely love that thing.

One thing was of interest, while looking for AC adapter....I have an AC adapter for a 310, but I don't have a 310...interesting.

By the way...anyone have a bunch of AC Adapters that they are trying to get rid of cheaply?

I think I recognize a few that used to be mine.

Your collection is possibly bigger than mine (which isn't fully listed in my sig).

Remember though...this is ONLY my WORKING Thinkpads. The pics don't include my non-working Thinkpads, or any of my non-thinkpads.

As for my signature...I had to give up on it, because there are only so many characters available in the signature section of the profile.

That is an impressive collection. I will be adding a T21 to my lineup soon. I have a few desktops sitting around here. I might make one into a DDR machine if I can find the pads and the USB adapter.

Maybe you can show us your non-working Thinkpads and the non-Thinkpads too?

Where do you put all these laptops? At one point I had as many as 10 laptops and I kept most of them in carrying cases, which in turn were kept in a closet in my bedroom, but I just left the one that I used everyday (a Dell Inspiron 8200) on a desk.

I have an office in the basement that I had built especially for working on computers. There is a L-shaped wooden bench that wraps around two walls, but it is still a work in progress. I store them in there, in stacks of no more than three. If I get around to cleaning my office, maybe I will take a pic of that too.

As for pics of the non-working Thinkpads, most of them are in some form of disassembly, not really worth taking pics of. As for the non-thinkpads...nothing special or really worth wasting time taking pics of....a couple of Dells, HPs, a Vaio, some old Compaq's and/or Toshibas, and an Acer.

Impressive collection indeed.

I am only a recent owner of Thinkpads have 2 at the moment and sold a X31 I had once. Great laptops, had a Toshiba Satalite 8 years ago that was also a wonderful lappy, dont know how the Toshibas are today though.

Very pretty collection you have anyway .... hope you can keep'em running :)

Wouhouuuuuuuh, what a wonderful collection !

I tought I had left my impressions, when I saw this topic a few months ago, but it seems that I've forgotten...

People often ask me what I am doing with all my computers (6 laptops, - 7 tomorrow ! :p - and 5 working office machines, and 2 PC in spare parts).

Well, I love PC. And I don't like to sell my machines for quasi nothing, so, I keep them... And, of course, I will not sell my Thinkpads...

Now, I will say : "15 machines ? you think that's a lot ? Well, have a look at tfflivemb2's collection, you'll what "a lot of PC" means"... :D

Three of my Thinkpads are on a rack, the 600 is on the piano, the T23 in my bed, and the old venerable Zenith 325L is on my desk.

I'd like to buy a rack only for the Thinkpads, but I haven't found an interesting one...

- I have a T23, you have a T23,
- I have a 600E, you have a 600E,
- I had a 600, you have a 600,
- I have a 560, you have a 560X,
- I have a 701Cs, you have a 701Cs,
- I have a 755Cs, you have a 755Cs,
- I will have an X20, you have an X20.

One of us cheats on the other !

Very nice collection, thx for sharing.

W.

Couldn't help notice. There is no knob on the door. They don't let you out, to they? Might bring back more stray ThinkPads....

And is that a doggie door? What kind of dog uses a doggy door like -that-? Oh no wait...that's where they hand you the food. Just large enough for a couple of Twinkies, but too small for a pizza.

Seriously....hope you enjoy every one of your ThinkPads!

And is that a doggie door
Not large enough to let a Thinkpad escape.

(Yes, who knows ? No knob means that perhaps they're prisoners ?)

Welcome to the thinkpads.com forum where majority of them are thinkpad crazy  and they are from all over the globe.. (welcome to this big thinkpad family).. :-)

**To steve and all those members who owned lots of thinkpads**
If you have a lack of space to store your thinkpads, i can lend you my house to store all your thinkpads with no $$ charged... :D

Steve, you are a thinkpad maniac.. You can shoot a video or a movie for thinkpads and post them in youtube..

IBM service centre situated in Singapore has a display case with some vintage thinkpads, but sad to say, all are not working thinkpads... :-(

I will try to snap up a few pics in the service centre when i drop by maybe tomorrow or some other days to have one of my thinkpad serviced - 1 of the LCD screw is too tight and i have actually tried to unscrew it so many times until the screw head become smooth..
