Engadget 3rd anniversary Cake Contest

#1 Post by blademonkey » Thu Mar 15, 2007 5:33 pm

My girlfriend and I made a replica of the x60 Tablet in cake form, with working pivot/swivel joint.

I have documented many pictures about it here:

If anyone is interested.

From the core of my heart I'd say  for all the effort you've put.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Actually we still have the cake I can retake some pictures, but we had to cut into it to prove that it was a cake so it will not be complete. I'll see if I can post them up tonight for yall.

My girl and I are looking for our next challenge so if you have any suggestions let us know.

well you could always start on a representation of Ray's slew of Thinkpads, that should keep you busy for a year :D I so enjoyed your project, wish I had that much patience.
