IRT my home setup, I can will tell you that just recently, well in the past two years I broke up with my GF

and she had three kids, so I never had room enough in my house for many years to have an actual desk, so I kind of made my space there as you see it. It really fits for me now because I have become used to it. I really have my own domain with the 2003 server and everything I do is relative to testing the softwares and devices (that are not pictured) for my work. I also manage our server at work from home.
I really don't have a "desk" or office at work either becuase I am always on the road "out in the field" troubleshooting customers network problems, so I really have become used to doing without a desk. I see people in their "cubes" all day long (this is definately not for me, my car is my cube, this is what you call a road warrior for real) and have actually had an office and desk when I was a service manager, I hated it.
It really is fun going from place to place and meeting so many different people, checking out the chicks and learning from and helping other IT people.
So my setup is not as common as most but it works perfectly for me.
