It's possible with the T40 and T41, so it would be possible on the R50 too. The Banias is running at a FSB speed of 400 MHz, while the first generation Banias from T40 is running at 266 due to the PC2100 memory. So it's definitely possible to upgrade a Banias in the R50, T41 to a Dothan, you just need the right stepping.netvista wrote:Actually i don't think it can take Dothan processors at all. The T40 is questionable though.
If you want to cut the case up everything is going to work. Also you're never going to find a laptop GPU chipset which can drive games properly at that resolution, and you prolly never will, since it's out of the scope for GPU manufacturers.
