"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Very cool pics. I'm surprised Lenovo let you photograph preproduction units.

Is this the UL x61s ?
Could you post the production numbers ?
Are both displays equally sharp ?
I thought the x61s had less vivid colors ; guess i was wrong...

If you think you'll use the tablet features, get the tablet. Otherwise, get the X61s.

1. UL: Affirmative.
2. Sorry, machines are gone away to another department.
3. Both had brilliant color projection.

The contrast levels and viewing angles are actually pretty bad in person. I just received mine a two weeks back, and it's the only thing I don't like about my Thinkpad.

If you're looking for a superb screen on an X series Thinkpad consider the Superview SXGA+ on the X61 Tablet.
