I just wanted to add this new to me Thinkpad A31P photos to this posting.
Not much of a reason to post thease pic's ,well yet.I'm thinking i may like to have a smaller , lighter Thinkpad and will have thease pic's to show the shape this A31P is in.
I have gotten so use to the X30,and now the girlfriend uses the X30 all the time i'm left with just this A31P.Very nice Thinkpad.So i'm thinking of putting this one up for trade to see what i can get in a smaller or lighter thinkpad.But as of now i'm just thinking about it.

Operating system: Windows XP [change]

Original description: Based on 2653-R3U: P4-M 2GHz, 512MB RAM, 60GB HDD, 15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD, 16x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, Modem(CDC), Ethernet(CDC), IEEE 1394, FDD, Secure Chip(TCPA), TV out, Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro

Changes in this system is the hard drive is now 40Gig 5400rpm,Ram is 2 gig's.
I added an Atheros AR5001X+ A,B,G wireless card and a set of antenna's routed up in the screen,there not the antennas for the A31P but they fit and work good.
In one of the pic's you will see the bent pin's on one of the usb ports.I have a new PCMCIA USB 2.0 card.
The battery shows 27Wh out of 43Wh with 69 cycle count.
The screen when first booted up shows a little red tint,goes away befor windows desktop come up.Once on the screen shows nice and bright.Look at one pic and you will see the system on outside in the bright daylight.Still very easy to read the screen.

With such a wallpaper on your A31p, how can you get anything done?

I keep telling the girlfriend the only reason i use that wallpaper is it has a wide color range and shows the blacks very dark and the bright colors very bright.It shows off the IPS screen very nice. Thats my story and i'm sticking to it

Oh i know.I fully trust the girlfriend.Well as much as someone can for only seeing them for about 6 months or so.
She just keeps shaking her head when she see's it.
