Great photos. I think this is one of the most interesting looking thinkpads ever made. I remember seeing a few of these being sold with a few euros on a local forum maybe 6 months ago but I did not realise it's greatness back then (should have bought one)

Wow!

Spent a bit of time drooling over your photos and I still can't figure out how it works – where exactly does it fold up?

In case you're still curious, the hinges control the keyboard and when you close the lid the butterfly keyboard folds under the bezel (underneath the specific bezel area where you typically find power, volume and Access IBM/ThinkVantage buttons on your newer thinkpads).
This machine is in immaculate condition, I got it from an IBMer, it also has a port replicator, PCMCIA LAN, WLAN, modem and a floppy drive; so far Windows 95 is running very smoothly too nevertheless I’m not looking to do anything prolific with 701c; I merely got it for historical reasons.

Very well catch:D
Few days ago I bought 701c and 701cs without HDDs, hope that will be looking like your one.
Do you know how much it costs in Poland? 60zł - its something about 22$ for 701c and 701cs including orginal drivers, manuals and power supply but without HDD's.
Sorry if I done mistake in grammar:)
