Nice background - it looks a little bit like O2 ads...
Do you have the name of the file?

Hi greg0815,

thanks for the compliments. It's not related to O2. The name of the wallpaper is "azul". I got it quite a while ago and therefore i can't remeber where.

If anyone ist interested here's a preview:

http://img66.echo.cx/my.php?image=azulkopie9ue.jpg

Here's a link to a .zip-file containing the bitmap image, which will look better than a .jpeg:

http://rapidshare.de/files/1310878/azul.zip.html

Sorry, it's in german. Just click the "free" button next to "Bitte den Download-Typ wählen:", disable any dowload manager, wait until the downoad link appears and download it.

I hope you enjoy it!

My Desk set up. it's been interesting seeing yours so far.

#160 Post by birdie » Wed Apr 20, 2005 6:35 pm

Hello fellow Thinkpad users,
my still used 770ED and other IBM things. an old 300GL running 98SE and XP. i still use many dated apps and ISA things(music mostly). big and little monitors, g78 and p275. tiny IBM mouse. you can see i'm fond of things made by IBM. also a well used Silicon Graphics keyboard... old and new things mixed. the desk i repainted/re-laminated and made the matching shelving. i polished the paint to a mirror finish, higher than 2000 grit, finishing with Maguires polishing compound. what i thought would be an easy weekend project ended up being a huge pain...the fumes...bad sleepy :? the mouse area has a 16" by 16" copper colored gaming surface of a brand i forgot. although i'm not much of a gamer, it looks neat. the red B&O phone does match the desk color in real life. my trusty canon s100 needs a lens cleaning apparantly. i just recieved the logitech keyboard today and really like it so far. i have not liked that brand for other stuff but the keyboard looks like it was made in Denmark. i pretty much only use these heavy desks mainly for the extender things. i really need to have those on any desk i use or i rig up something. i need to have my mousing arm fully supported. directly behind the chair are some sythesizers and music making things. the electric sheep project screen saver(always disliked screensavers) can be amazing at times, especially on all three monitors. any remarks on the violet and green? i'm finishing up two shelf-tables ..not to be painted..then i can get the air cleaner off of my desk. smoking is no good at all

Lol, all in good fun, right? 8) I'm probably getting one this summer as well, and I too will have no choice in color (baby-blue only). I'll be sure to put up a pic so you can have your day :D

Duran Duran! Awesome! What's the DVD (?) box next to it?

Not sure about the Green Acres, though... ;)

Oh, and nice monitor! :)

David.
Which DVD next to the Duran are you looking at?
The 2 above the speakers are Singles Cd's Box sets and then the new album on the right by the control pod.

PS
I Love Green Acres... Such a stupid show really but it's funny none the less.

Here's my setup. Consists of:

T43 (2668-71G)
T22 (2647-9CG)
eServer xSeries 206

So here are the pics:
Image

Left to right: Iiyama Prolite E380S-B monitor and Logitech LX300 desktop set connected via KVM to the server, T43, T22, and on the floor the 206 server.
On the shelf my Nokia 6230 and 6260 mobiles. Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers.

Image

Another view of the desk + my TV and DVD player. Thinking of getting rid of this, and putting a digital TV PCI card in the server, and viewing TV and DVD's on the Iiyama, but it's nice to have the TV on at the side when I am working.

Image

My server. Really, really not liking having the white bezel on the Pioneer DVR-108 writer, so going to get a NEC DVD burner with a black bezel instead.

I also have a KVM switch on the floor behind the desk so that I can plug in any other computer. In the flat in I also have a TP 600E (no longer used - sits in a cupboard), a T21 that my brother uses in the lounge, Compaq Deskpro EN desktop in my brother bedroom, and my sister has a rubbish dinky Toshiba Portege 3110CT laptop in her room.

Networking all this is a Belkin F5D7630uk4A router sitting in the pictured room, a Belkin F5D7130 Acces Point in the lounge, and a Netgear GS105 gigabit switch behind the pictured desk.

Phew! Comments welcome on any ideas/improvments I could make.

lol - it's a airsoft BB gun! Never noticed it until after I had resized the pictures and could not be bothered to take them again. At least it's black to match the rest of my gear!!
