Trust me when I tell you most sound guys cannot afford such things! A good pair of gloves and shoes goes a lot further. Lately I've been taking an office chair with me too (beats sitting on a cable trunk)! Although I did buy a lot more toys before the wife and kids. go berk. sort of. i grew up in berkeley and worked on campus as an instructor for the last few years before finally moving to southern california permanently. i do miss the excitement a bit, but my younger brother (1st year EECS student) tells me all about it so that'll do!

This guy is a straight up audiophile.
Sony 7506s are the standard for sound professionals. I have a couple pairs of AKGs as well but they don't see much use in the field.
IEM molds are in my future, but they are hard to justify since I'm normally FOH.
