Seems to be some kind of "three" motif going on in there....three displays, three routers/switches underneath the desk, three candles on the right side of the desk.....is this intentional?

Or maybe I've been writing too many papers for my lit class....
LOL! i didn't actually catch that! or i didn't intentionally do it, at least! good eyes there. maybe its something subconscious. *considers*

I've changed your images to links. Please resize them to 1024x768 or less if you want them posted.

Kenn,
I can't say enough good things about IrfanView:
http://www.irfanview.com/
Freeware and it's been on all of my systems since early 1996. One of the best $20 "donations" I've ever made.

James

DavidNZ, I have a question about your 1.8 inch mobile hard-drive.
Can you use USB-Powered to use harddrive without another power source from a wall?
If so, a product link would be great! Thank you.
BTW, here is my Thinkpad X40:

Yes, it is 100% bus-powered. Unlike many HDD enclosures, this one is handled explicitly by the power from my X40's left USB port.
I got mine from Dick Smith Electronics, which is an Australian outfit with a huge number of stores here in New Zealand (
www.dse.co.nz). The case is aluminum, so it runs quite cool.
I use it with a short USB cable that came with a multi-card reader I bought last year. Amazingly, the short cord turned out to be USB 2 compliant. Here's a photo showing the unit itself, the cable, the flash-card reader and a pen for perspective. Link to the unit:

My computer running Windows. On an irellevant note, that trophy in the background was awarded to me for some work I entered into a statewide computer graphics competition.

Yes, that is infact Mac OS you see on my screen. Your eyes do not decive you. (I'm using Basilisk II to run Mac OS 7.55 under Windows)

Yep, great printer. I've got such a beast, too, also with the additional 500-pages feeder...

Interesting Blake:
You make that table yourself out of steel pipe and a sheet of glass?
Oh, and why did you lay the CPU on its side? To give you extra table space or to fit it under that table?
Also, excuse my ignorance, but what is KVM and how does it work?

the pipeing used to be a tv stand that i moved around and made a desk. its not plate glass, just some cheap home depot plexi glass...
the cpus is on the side to save space, otherwise it takes up more room stand up, the fans are not affected so its ok.
the kvm is a switch. i can have up to 4 computers shareing the lcd / keyboard / mouse and 5 other usb devices. i can hit a button on the switch, or on my computer and a different computer will appear on the screan. its alot easier than haveing multiple lcds and keyboads

If you want to see my T40, go to Wikipedia.org and look up the article "ThinkPad".
It's under the pic of the R32.

Wow, bloody nice shots.
Lemme see if I can pick out what you've got on the desk:
1. Are those headphones Etys? Look pretty spiff, that's for sure.
2. 4G Ipod with some kind of massive battery pack on it?
3. I'll guess a Sony Ericsson T630 phone? or 610?
4. IBM optical mouse, but that one was easy.
It's a nice kit - when ya think about it, everything one could need when traveling is there!
