The pictures you see are after I Photoshoped them, the originals are worse. The camera is one of those 20 dollar ones from Wal Mart. The camera does great outdoors, but indoors, it sucks.

Got my TP in November, new. Would like to remove the stickers without leaving residue, or anything noticable pointing to stickers previously having been there.
i just peeled mine off, use it for abit and see if the area warms up, if not just peel it off slowly, i had almost no residue, just use a mild cleaner to get the rest up or rub it with your thumb
debadged.... removed the centrino and xp sticker for a clean look

How do you folks keep your desks so clean? I managed to keep my desk somewhat clean (there's a picture of it a few posts back) for about 5 minutes before things went downhill and don't get me started with the wastebasket under my desk. I just hope the EPA never sees it, lord knows what kind of toxic chemicals have brewed in it over the years from my various trash and food scraps. To make it worse, my cat feels the need to rumage through it every ten minutes.

You need to have the picture on a remote website or server. To post a picture from a remote server, put image loaction [ /img] in the mesage body. To make this easier, there is a button when you are typing messages that will make it easier.[/img]

redid everything, moved the lcd tv to the desk
the 17 lcd is hooked into the computer under the desk, that has been downgraded to print server, storage and music system. due to the obsession of my x31 i hardly use anything else. also the X is sitting on a targus notebook coolpad that keeps it off the desk and swivles nicely
now i just have to clean up a little bit more

That would be a dream setup for me, man you're lucky. One of these days when I start making some $$$ I might get back to you about the specifics of everything I see. OK I'm going to hit "Submit" so I can go back and stare at that some more.....

the only things that costed alot of money is that LCD and my thinkpad. You already have a thinkpad...and LCD is always dropping in price.

Speaking of keyboards....this being an IBM forum, I'm surprised we haven't seen more old-school Model-Ms around. Those are the absolute tanks of the keyboard world, and along with the Northgate Omnikeys, some of the best keyboards ever made.Blake wrote:good to see another mac keyboard user with a pic. they are just so much nicer than anything else available

OK, here's what I noticed (other than the thinkpad, and the LCD)....the Nokia 3320 (I can't find one for less than $200 WITH a [censored] contract), the speakers, the reciever/tuner/whatever that control box to the right is, the Sony Clie, and of course the second computer you are running to the LCD....I'm sure it is pretty powerful and up-to-date! Oh and nice light by the way - is it a Dazor, by any chance? I love drafting lights, they provide the best illumination for doing some serious work!RCube wrote:hehe thanx man!benz wrote:^ WOW![]()

thats a nokia 6230...and yeah it isn't cheap. I usually use $25 phones..but got carried away with the bluetooth feature that the phone offers. Had to have it so I can use the bluetooth on my tp.benz wrote:OK, here's what I noticed (other than the thinkpad, and the LCD)....the Nokia 3320 (I can't find one for less than $200 WITH a [censored] contract), the speakers, the reciever/tuner/whatever that control box to the right is, the Sony Clie, and of course the second computer you are running to the LCD....I'm sure it is pretty powerful and up-to-date! I bought the speakers(swans m200) in china..so it was pretty cheap. And that is a yamaha sound processor dp-u50. It isn't that expensive... like $120cad.
And that light is like $10? Just your normal office light..hehe :p

I actually have a few Model M keyboards laying around. I also used to have a Northgate Omnikey Ultra as well, but that thing finally bit the dust in 2001. My dad had used that before I did and he purchased it in 1990 or 1991, maybe earlier. It had a longer life than any of the computers it was ever hooked up to.

Right on. I bought about 3 Model Ms and 5 Omnikey Ultras back in 99-00, sometimes those things went for $50-100, used, on Ebay.AlphaKilo470 wrote:I actually have a few Model M keyboards laying around. I'm happy to report that since switching to a Thinkpad full time, I haven't felt the need to plug in one of the "real"keyboards, but I'm definitely going to keep them around until they stop making PS/2 to USB 5.0 (or whatever) adapters.
Back in the days when keyboards were literally built like tanks...sigh.
