I believe that's an X200 in an ultrabase.

Wow, I thought the ultrabase wouldn´t be that thick. Then I googled on that...and frankly, I am a bit of disappointed right now

I believe Lenovo could have made somewhat thinner ultrabase that would be portable extension to the X200 in a sense that you don´t need to detach it from the lappy every time you have to pack them both in your "hand" baggage...

I thought it was some military spec, ruggedized model because of the thickness, and I kind of like the looks of it myself ...

I believe Tonis was referring to the ultrabase.

that doesn't actually seem half bad. reminds me of the thickness of really old laptops (you know, the kind with 10.1 or 10.4 inch screens that weigh 5 lb, and have like... i486 processors. Like the AST Ascentia 810N (that was my first laptop. got it for $12 from a friend... it was really old at the time)) course... it looks clumsier with such a big and new laptop, but still.

lol. yeah. it actually worked quite well for word processing and blockout (3D tetris). ran Windows 95 at pretty good speed considering the i486DX2 66mhz processor and 16mb ram the 512mb hdd was compressed so that it held something like 1gb or so. Microsoft Office 7.
also, floppy disks.
