my T43p & Co.

Hello, here are some photos of my T43p and other hardware I have.
You may see:
- T43p
- Logitech Z10 boxes
- external USB drive
- web-cam
- card-reader
- Bluetooth mouse (Thinkpad, of course

)
- my "4-in-1" printer Olivetti SIMPLE_WAY Bluetooth
Actually, I hate cables and try to do everything via Bluetooth. Unfortunately, there are no BT-capable hard drives, cams and card-readers on the market. So, for them the cables are unavoidable.

you were right. I had to replace the links with a link to Picasa album.

Can anyone help me with making a direct link from Picasa to here? I would appreciate any hint,
thanks in advance,
Andrey

Nice. For a moment from the first picture I thought you have disconnected the LCD from the T43

.

I use the same mouse with my T60. How it works for you? I love it!

A BT-HDD would be a disaster, speed-wise at least. Things should be a bit better with Wireless USB, although I don't know what speeds it provides. Faster than USB 2.0 would be very welcome.

That's good. It's not worse than "Logitech".

The only thing, that bothers me sometimes, is that the mouse goes into sleep mode after a couple of minutes being idle. In the office work it's not critical, but - I must admit - sometimes I play Doom3, and if that sleep mode caused my virtual death a couple of times already.

Yes, I know, that BT is too slow even for the web-cam (let alone external drives). But I connect the devices only when I need it, so sometimes I work with my laptop and boxes only. And I can tolerate 1 or 2 cables on my desk.

Andrey

Notice how the LCD clear plate (photo #3) says "Lenovo T43p". Indeed this is one of the very late production T43 units. I thought that they existed, but was not 100% sure. Now I'm sure.

I bought the laptop in March or April 2007 (new, from reseller) and the box was labeled with January or February of 2007.
