Let me know what you guys think. Hopefully this also helps people looking to invest in buying one from both dimensional, and appearance standpoints.
If anyone has requests for pictures, info, or anything like that feel free to post a reply. I was also at one point curious about this machine (post purchase).

No worries (and I am not gay either).

Nice machine! To some extent, the pics caused a slight jealousy, but it also confirms which Thinkpad will be my next in 3 years time. By that time all the pitfalls and weaknesses (if any) of any particular component and/or option will be known, and I can pick and enjoy a product that I know has a good chance of working fine for years.

In my opinion, the 410/510 machines are a huge visual improvement over the previous 400/500 machines. (Sorry if i offend any 00 owners here..) The LCD is now again centered in the lid, the red navigation buttons are back, and the case has a slimmer, more rounded and better shape. Basically your 410 is back to the style that I see as the classic Thinkpad style.

I kind of miss those red-edged buttons and the gray F-buttons on my T60 when I compare it to my older T43. On the other hand, the different coloring gives me the impression that I actually bought a different, newer laptop, and not just upgraded my T43. But it's nice to see that they are back now.

My sister is looking to buy a Thinkpad. She was all for the T400 from the outlet...until I clued her in about about the un-centered screen. Now she's waiting on coupons for the T410.

I notice that the stickers are now closely fitted to the grooves. Too bad - I'd want to replace the Thinkpad stickers with IBM stickers. I just like the colors

Absolutely. Between the red tinge on the mouse buttons and the more sleek design/beveling I think the T410 looks a lot more like the T4x series than the T400 did.

Now if only we could find a company making grey replacement function/browser keys...

I'm feeling pretty jealous... I now know which one I will eventually buy. Maybe when I save up some money and get sick of this ol' R40; it could be a while, I sure do love my R40. Like I said... Eventually...
