Hello, what is the relevance of the man at the top of the page with the parrot? where is this derived from and what does it have to do with thinkpads?

thanks.

I bet most people won't know the whole story!
As to the man at the top: that's Charlie Chaplin.
Why? Read this: http://www.ejumpcut.org/archive/onlines ... tramp.html
As to the parrot: Forum-owner Bill Morrow has an extensive aviary with all sorts of parrots, his favorite birds.
Photo-shopping a parrot on Charlie's shoulder is only a natural evolution to combine the best of both worlds!

Thanks for asking the question MacAoidh and thanks for providing an answer (and link to an essay- cool!) Dom :thumbs-UP:

I did wonder about the significance of Charlie also. I was, however, aware that Bill Morrow was fascinated with our fine-feathered friends :)

I wonder more about how many men had to die for Jane to get her mouse.

I couldn't tell you, but the very idea of asking that question could reserve you a spot for being the next one on that list...

Let's just say it was a hard fought battle, and I left a trail of feathers in my wake!
