What is CASPION doing on TPF?

During one of my WAY too many waits for TPF to just show a webpage, I think saw one of the culprits that cause all this nerve-wracking waiting!
While refreshing the TPF index page, it was showing: waiting for panel.caspion.com
Is this the sucker that causes all this waiting misery?
Caspion is an Ad exchange outfit...

Most probably something is timing out on the caspion site, and maybe this is contributing t the delays. If you check the HTML source of any TPF page, search for "<!-- start new code for Caspion advertising, mod by Bill Morrow 4-26-2013 -->" to find that caspion is indeed one of the TPF sources of revenue to pay the bills for this wonderful free service. There are means to block such sub requests (RequestPolicy et al), but this would also cut site related revenue.
