MOD-edit: pictures way too big, tags removed.
Please read the Forum Rules, Section 5!
5. IF needed, you may add one or more photographs to your post. In that case you must also place a warning in the Subject: line!
PLEASE note that you may have multiple thumbnails (ideally linking to full-sized images) as long as their sum does NOT exceed the 50KB limit.
It would also be greatly appreciated if you can keep the pixel dimensions to something around 800x600.
Any picture(s) exceeding this 50KB limit may be changed to link(s) by an Administrator/Moderator (without warning).
Reason: many people look at the forum using cellphones, which may have Download Restrictions.
Important: ONLY in this: Pictures of your ThinkPad & desk setup Forum are you allowed to use more, and larger, pictures.
I know the rules. My pictures were all 800x600 dimensions (don't know the file size) directly linked from imageshack
and it was showing my Thinkpad set ups.
Also the whole 'viewing the forums on the cellphone' phrase should really be updated.
When the original rules were written most people had cellphones that looked like this:
or at best some of us had this in our pockets:
Now everyone has 4G LTE Androids, Tablets, iPads and iPhones that are way more powerful than the Thinkpad I am typing on right now.
So viewing images larger than 50k on a smart phone or tablet should not be causing anyone drama in the year 2014.
Then again i'm not sure of the limitation of this website's design when it comes to holding onto pictures in various threads
but the rules should be updated to cater to the tremendous changes in mobile smartphone technology and 4G LTE wireless technology since 2004.
I didn't mean to cause any harm or exhibit disregard for the rules so please forgive me.
Thanks.
