suggestion for HD benchmark sticky
I see threads with HD benchmarks all over the place. Would it make sense to add a sticky (or three: one for each of PATA, SATA, and SSD) in the Thinkpad - General HARDWARE/SOFTWARE questions forum to collect all kinds of HD benchmarks for all sorts of Thinkpads?

Re: suggestion for HD benchmark sticky
IMO it would make sense for stock HDDs/SSDs-- AKA drives that came with the laptop when it was bought new. This would give prospective buyers a fair idea of what to expect.
Another possible use case is to identify anomalies like a certain drive performing much slower than expected, like getting capped at 150MB/s even if the Thinkpad has a SATA III (600MB/s) link.
