770/600 Forum
Hello,
My suggestion is to move the 570 & 570E from the "Legacy Forum" to the "770/600 Forum".
The reason for this is that the 570/570E share many characteristics and parts with the 600/E/X which were made at the same time.
In fact, the 570 can be considered the ultra-portable version of the 600E.
As a result, 570 and 600 owners can share information. Many of the upgrades for the 600 can also be used on the 570.
Thanks for your attention to this small matter.

i fyou read this: "Older ThinkPads.. from the 700 thru the 765D, the iSeries, 300, 500 and, of course, the 701"
you will see that it does not include the 570 series..
the 600 series includes the 570 series for exactly the reasons you state in your message..
i WILL modify the description so as to include the 570 series, thus: "600/570 series"
thanks for bringing this issue up..

I think my impression stemmed from two things:
- 570's not mentioned explicitly in the 770/600 Forum title
- Most threads with "570" or "570e" in the title being found in the Legacy Forum, and none at all in the 770/600 Forum.

First off, I completely agree with putting the 570 with the 600 and 770.
Okay, so now let's talk about why the Transnote is in there with them 600/770/570? The Transnote is a contemporary of the X21 and shares its platform. Indeed, the t-note/X21 pairing is a precursor to the current division of X-series into clamshell and tablet models.
Not that there's enough Transnote traffic for it to make any difference. Call it intellectual curiosity.

The Transnote is an orphan that had to go somewhere.
Rather than possibly dilute the all-encompassing X series Forum, it was grafted onto the 600 series.
Like you Emanuel, I'd love to see more discussion of these great old tablets.
Regards,
James
