I was just trying to do a search, and realized there was no ability to search topic titles. Trust me when I say it's an option you'd want. A search for a topic subject can spawn pages of threads without this. I know that when it comes to phpBB mods, this one is pretty well implemented. So much so that it really ought to be included in the next version, but it's still a mod, one I'd strongly recommend you use on tp.com.

I agree. I miss the searching features from vBulletin boards!

It can be done in google advanced search.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&clie ... tnG=Search

Once at this url, go into advanced , enter your search terms, and select 'in the title of the page' in the 'occurrences' drop down box.

For a complete forum search, just enter the search terms in the search box at the first link after site:http://forum.thinkpads.com

.e.g.

site:http://forum.thinkpads.com T41 fan

That's far more limited than phpBB's search, though. You can't choose to limit the search to a specific forum, category or sort them by date.

That's true, but it's more than you had before . Also most times (depending on the search terms), it's not going to be a terribly long list if you search titles only.
