Have others had problems re-setting their password?

#1 Post by Lightning » Thu Sep 06, 2007 6:51 pm

I've had to reset mine like three times in 24 hours because it wouldn't work (or let me in). All I have to do is logout, reboot, and for some reason when I go to enter that same info... I have to punch the I fOrgot button. UGH! Hopefully its just my system.

I've been chatting with Mike off-line about this problem. I've checked both this username and his original one, and nothing about either of them looks unusual.

His password works if he logs in with IE but not with Firefox. I don't use Firefox myself, so if other users who do use it can think of anything for him to check, please chime in.

Thanks!

To the OP: What version of firefox are you using and what are your security settings in Firefox? Try reducing the security level and logging in, I have had this trouble with firefox oder versions for some sites.

Lightning,

if your IP changes while online with the forum this MIGHT trigger a request for your username and password..

Sir, I don't think this might be related to the IP, because i am using proxy and it changes everytime but i am still logged in as long as i have checked the "remember to log me in automatically" checkbox.

the IP thing is the only issue i can think of..
i experienced it when i was using the cable modem and DSL modem on the dual WAN router..

the IP was changing and i had to re-login frequently..
