Better classification of threads ?

hey everyone,
I have an idea that I would like to contribute. it's something i noticed from searching around, looking for answers to my problems.
I realised under each model's forum (t4x for example as i am a t43 user) basically every topic from purchase of spare parts, technical problems, software issues, where to buy, recommendations for each t43 model, etc.
so my humble suggestions are
1. under each specific model, t4x, there is a software clinic (for os and software applicable to t43), technical helpdesk, etc
2. do away with the categorize by model and instead have topic oriented sub-forums and to label the model of laptop in question, include a drop down field in the new thread to specify what model (t4x, x61..etc)
an example of 2. is dfi-street forums (for those who are hardware fans)
