"petty sniping" is his reason..

as a non-english-native speaker i dont know all expressions....

From dictionary.com:

petty:

4. mean or ungenerous in small or trifling things: a petty person.

sniping:

6. to attack a person or a person's work with petulant or snide criticism, esp. anonymously or from a safe distance.

i can understand if he deleted something like this but why has been the thread locked, i mean we were just in a middle of a conversation of a problem....?

perhaps if you PM BillB he will unlock the thread..
it is not good form for me to over-ride those who donate their time to help out..

then get the thread rolling again without sniping..
if it had been me i would have just deleted the offending post..
