Congratulations to two recently 'promoted' moderators.
I noticed the names erik and harryc both with their new title.

If any other(s) have been spotted, please post them here.

HarryC's forum testimonial (written by another forum member)
HarryC has been spotted for devoting much of his spare time in the forum (general discussions on all the series thinkpads). Whenever i am logged in, i can always see HarryC everywhere in the forum. HarryC has contributed a lot and he deserved to be what he should be right now.. Congratulations to harry.

I hoped that harry will use a leopard as his avatar.. :P ;-)

xtr is another valuable member in the forum.

But the forum does need new moderators from time to time. If you look at the "moderators group" on the "Usergroups" page, you'll notice that at least five people no longer contribute to the forum. So new mods are needed to replace them.

going purely off of numbers, we currently have 5 admins and 18 mods (a few of which are inactive) to help with 23 public forums servicing over 25,000 registered users.   even with an average of one mod/admin per forum it's still a huge task to watch everything that goes on here.

with that said, i've been on the thinkpads.com forum since around '98 -- back when all we had was a BBS and email list -- and am grateful for those who have been around through the years to help keep things straight.   this is by far one of the most civil forums in which i've ever browsed or participated. :thumbs-UP:
