increasing mailbox capacities?

Is it possible to make the PM mailboxes bigger?

There are important messages that I would prefer not to delete, and the mailboxes get full easily. Doubling the capacities would be quite helpful, if that's possible/feasible.

Or do what I've been doing since I joined... cut and paste your PMs into a Notepad text document and keep it on one of your computers.

or email the PM tou yourself..
the capacity CAN be increased but i don't think its such a good idea..
