I rarely send Private Messages, but have had one sitting in my Outbox for over a half an hour.

Do I misunderstand something about what has to be done to send it on its merry way?

"Outbox" is merely where your message is sitting prior to being read by the receiver. You can edit (or delete) it while it's in the Outbox.

P.S. I recently had a message sitting in the Outbox for 6 months. I finally deleted it.
