I've been getting email notification for every topic I'm active in, and every PM for the past few days.

I received an email notification today. About 6 months? a year? ago I noticed they
had stopped coming. Ray tried to restore them for me but without success. Suddenly
they're back.

I have not done anything to the forum settings to resolve this issue so I'm in the dark as to why some people are getting notifications, while others do not.

The forum software has a built-in dartboard. Each day they throw a dart, and those people who fall in the corresponding letter group to the number hit by that dart, may (repeat MAY) receive emails.
The internal dart thrower doesn't know squat about darts, so he/she/it misses the dartboard most of the time, meaning nobody gets any emails!
In the last month or so, it worked for me for 2 days, then nothing for 3 weeks, then 1 email, nothing since.

I filled out the registration form and submitted it yesterday afternoon, 3/3/2010, and never received an email reply.

I looked again this morning and there was still no email.

I then decided to try my username and password and was able to login.

I got a notification this morning for the first tiime since Feb 2. Did the dart hit me today?

Go out and buy a lottery ticket since you were lucky enough to get a notification . Still don't know why some people are getting them, many (most?) are not and why it's hit-and-miss for others. Was the notification for a PM or a watched thread?

I got notification of your reply too. Both this and the other were watched topics.

Maybe I will pick up a lottery ticket.

Until Friday last week (04-20-2012) I used to get PM announcements via email.
Since then, I have received no more PM-emails.
