Format the disk to start from scratch
Format the disk to start from scratch
I have downloaded a copy of windows xp and I want to reformat the hard drive as my brother has a thinkpad which was his old work one, it has lots of networks set up and he cannot remember a single password for any of them, what is the easiest way of doing this, any help would be gratefully received, thanks
Re: Format the disk to start from scratch
Do you have a valid license for the Windows XP?
Re: Format the disk to start from scratch
Yes I have a authentication number, but have had to download a copy of the actual xp disk as my brother in law didnt get one with his thinkpad, thanks
Re: Format the disk to start from scratch
There's no magic. Install XP then go to the Lenovo driver site and download and install the needed drivers. If you start with Thinkvantage Software Update it will find and install several drivers for you. You'll need to install the MS .net framework first.
