Hi there, I just got a Thinkcentre A51 8107-71G and am trying to figure out if it's a Lenovo or an IBM.
It has an IBM logo on it, but I understood that even then it can be a Lenovo. Just can't seem to find the info anywhere...
Thanks!

It's an IBM in as far as the badging goes. It really makes no difference as Lenovo were OEMing them for IBM then bought the PC business in it's entirety.
My work bought the M version (more business features). M51 is IBM badged, the M52 is IBM and Lenovo badged, the M55 onwards are Lenovo badged only.

^my grandfather has a M55, it has a little IBM badge on the bottom right corner - it doesn't really matter, I have a M57, and it is fast, stable and extrememly quiet system. All of the support was handed over to lenovo for all IBM's "consumer (aka laptops and desktops) - who built it doesn't matter, all the support is on the lenovo site.

Thanks, I didn't know that Lenovo was OEM'ing them before they took over.
Anyway it's no problem, just curious about the precise date this model came out.
It feels like an IBM (wasn't really worried about that).
