Thinkstation D30 modded BIOS with NVMe boot support

Thinkstation D30 modded BIOS with NVMe boot support

flash at your own extreme risk.
I followed the tutorials on the internet and tried to do this.
This is my first time trying modding a BIOS.
I have NOT tested those
Not recommended trying unless you have a external programmer for BIOS recovery, or if you know how to recover BIOS by whatever means

Only works for D30 with MT 4353, 4354

Personally I think this one has higher chance of success

Can also try this

You will be respondible for finding ways of flashing/ recovery yourself

I'll post a modded one for SNB D30 (MT 42xx) soon.

In fact, I have not yet tried my D30. only gonna see it tomorrow and won't have a chance to play around with it until next week.

NVMe is already (unofficially) supported in the 435x D30 as a storage drive. Or, does this mod add boot support?

Yes hopefully.
I have not tested it.

Tried modded the BIOS for SNB D30/C30 42xx and failed. Guess the EFI version matters. (2.3.1 is needed for UEFI boot)
Maybe after I graduate I will try to force flash the IVB D30 BIOS and see.

I just bought a nvme m.2 drive and a pcie 4x to m.2 converter for my lenovo d30 4223, without realizing that I couldn't boot to it. I was wondering if there was an update on if the bios mod worked and if you had an updated download link.
