Thinkcentre M91 memory compatibility

#1 Post by wujstefan » Tue Feb 27, 2018 6:28 am

Hello,

I can't find an answer anywhere, and I've read whole internet, twice.

Does M91 work with U-DIMM modules only or regular DIMMs are also supported?

U-DIMM is regular memory. R-DIMMs are specially designed for servers. It is a basic desktop, regular desktop RAM should be no problem.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

U-DIMMs are unbuffered, and I have found no official info that regular DIMMs would work.

Thanks for help!

Check these:

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id- ... -slot.html

Or borrow some regular DIMM, RDIMM and/or ECC-DIMM to try out.
Worst that can happen is PC not booting.
You will not damage machine or RAM by trying.
