Hi,
I know it isn't supported by Lenovo, but it should be feasible in theory to install a regular windows Pro or Enterprise if you've got a license on the Thinksmart Hub 500. Has anybody done this?
I also wonder if the CPU can be unofficially replaced by a i5-8 or i5-9 to support windows 11. At least Crucial has listed upgrades to up to 32GB of RAM.
Does anyone know which chipset is used and which CPUs might be unofficially supported by the BIOS?
I can get a used Thinksmart Hub 500 for a bargain and like the form factor. For sure I want to try Teams Room System but prefer using the Hub as a media center PC at home.
Thanks

According to https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PD ... 0_Spec.pdfDoes anyone know which chipset is used and which CPUs might be unofficially supported by the BIOS?
OEM systems are generally locked down, don't expect BIOS support for CPUs newer than what's offered by the manufacturer.Chipset
Intel Q270 chipset
