Video Card Swap

Bought a used 6578 RBU Netvista for kids.Video ram appeared to be inadequate.So I bought a 64mb ATI Radeon 7000 and put it in my 6792 2DU Netvista and put the 16 mb NVidea out of that into 6578.

It dont appear to want to use it.saying resources need to be freed up to do anything with it.

Wen into Bios to try and disable other,but that appears to not be an option.

As my knowledge is limited please help......thanks

Also: even though I went to the ATI website and downloaded the latest Driver for the ATI 64 mb in mine the color dont seem to be as good as it was with the 16 mb NVidea.I use a 21 inch Barco monitor and set the res. to the same 1024 x 768.Any thoughts on this could be most helpful also

My thinkpad is sitting over there screaming..........LINUX.......
