Hello All,

I've purchased my first IBM Desktop, its a NetVista 6794. I picked it up for what I'm hoping was a deal. However that really doesn't matter because I NEED a desktop (home built pc died). It was purchased with no os, I've installed XP Pro, so far so good now I'm downloading drivers. With that said are there anything I should keep an eye out for?

Also, what's a good monitor for this pc, my twenty one inch ViewSonic just died :(

TIA

Usually there is an error or two when setting up a new machine so just watch out for that and make sure nothing goes horribly worng.

As for monitor, I've had very good experiences with CRTs from Samsung, NEC and Sony. Still, the best option for a monitor might be to go to the computer store and see what monitor has the picture you like best and will fit on your desk most comfortably.

Beats me, but you can find out the model configuration and appropriate device drivers etc through the Support & Download pages....

Hello All,

This is my very 1st post on my NetVista 8) We've been without power since Wednesday night! We regained power this morning, and now I get to play with my toys

As for the PC, so far so good. The mouse is going to take a little getting used to, however the glowing blue button is way cool 8)

Thanks for all the advise,
