I have an A55 with a Core 2 Duo running 64 bit Vista.

I have two 1 Gig memory sticks in there but I can not tell it if is really running dual channel.

I read where with advanced boot selected in the bios, the bios infomormation would report dual. Mine does not.

CPU-Z will be able to tell you that information.

The Channels # field is grayed out when I run CPU-Z. Running 1.42 verison and running as administrator.

You could also try Sisoft Sandra.

I tried the Sysoft Sandra too. It is mute on this. Says the bus is 64 bits but does not say anthing about dual channel.

On my T60 (with Core 2 Duo) both Sandra and CPU-Z do report dual channel and in it I actually have 3 Gbyte and 2 and 1. Sandra goes on to show a virtualization of 4 banks where it is treating the extra Gig as two 500 Mbyte and running the whole thing as dual.

The Thinkcentre A55, while quite fast, is a plain jane machine. It does not even have the security chip. I bought it on an impulse as it was on "special." It has a 1000 MHz FSB and runs the 64 bit Vista fine.
