Recently bought a 8113-D5U off eBay and am curious. Seems most users leave their computers on all the time. Is it better to do this or turn it off after useing? Have allways figured that all electronics are only going to last a certain number of hours, so I have always tured mine off after I was finished. Might add that this "new" computer is still under warrenty untill December, a very pleasent surprise. You can "see" it here-http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0130410086

IMO there is no need to completely power off desktop (except if noise bothers you :) )...

You can set to power off display (and hard drive), or alternately set it to go on standby...

These things are built to be powered on...

Consider buying UPS and have no worries...

Thanks for the reply. My concern was because of capacitors bulging on earlier boards back in the Netvista days. That and like I said, seems that a computer is going to run only X number of hours and if it is left on constantly, seems as tho that day will be reached a lot faster. Have read this board and see that some users computers are left on since they bought them.
