Can I use generic (cheap) ram on my Thinkcentre M52?

Hi,

I have an IBM Thinkcentre M52 8215.

Currently I have 2GB, but would like to upgrade to 4GB (2gb x 2).

Can I just buy any cheap generic ram sticks and would that work? Or do I need a special brand or any other issues to be aware of?

(The ram it takes is DDR2 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM PC2-5300 about $30 for a 2GB stick.)

Thanks!

Thanks Harry, before I posted I tried to search but it wouldnt accept the term "ram" since its too short!

Would your ram work on my M52? If you can ship to Canada at a decent price Im interested.

Otherwise I was considering this stick:
